Premier Inn is the UK’s largest hotel brand, with over 750 hotels based across the UK and Ireland. The multi award-winning hotel chain is owned and operated by hospitality group Whitbred.

iGen were appointed to install a commercial solar PV system to the flat roof of a new Premier Inn development in Hereford. We designed an engineered solution considering snow and wind loads and used an aluminium frame mounting with ballast to avoid any roof penetration. The system ensured flexibility for the client allowing for movement of panels to accommodate any plant, vents or additional structures. Using a flexible system also ensured that no leaks are possible at any time.
