iGen worked with Arc Electric and Rowlinson Construction to install solar panels for a housing development on the site of the former Stagecoach depot fronting Princess Road in Manchester.

Designed by architect Buttress, the plan will deliver 54 two- and three-storey family homes and 204 one to three-bedroom apartments, 72 of which will be retirement living apartments.

We installed 4 x 20kWp systems comprising of 288 solar panels and four inverters. We worked closely with the client and installed a bespoke mounting system to fix the panels onto a VM Zinc roofing system. The specially designed system used prevented the need for any drilling into the roof and helped to protect the buildings structure.
